Dr. Akansha Mehta, our ERA talent in CLiCAM project, has recently commenced her training at Lithoz, additive manufacturing company from Vienna, Austria. Part of her role during the secondment at our project partner is to contribute to the research topic: 3D Green Advanced Glass-Ceramic Porous Photocatalytic Membrane.
She is currently focusing on the development of photocatalytic membranes using the advanced mixtures of industrial waste materials (e.g. waste pharmaceutical glass and red/brown mud), embedded with photoactive materials. The work of Dr. Akansha is an inspirational bridge between materials science and sustainable technology, with the goal of creating more efficient & eco-friendly purification methods, for water treatment applications.
