Since August, CLiCAM ERA talent Diana Lago has joined Lithoz for specialized training in the development of durable, glass-ceramic porous membranes of a new generation. The focus of this training is on utilizing innovative technological solutions, combining glass processing with additive manufacturing.
The primary objective of the training is to enhance the design of borosilicate glass structures by developing lattice structures that improve the adsorption of heavy metals from wastewater and optimize CO₂/H₂ capture.
Under the expert guidance of Dr. Martin Schwentenwein, Dr. Sebastian Geier, and Dr. Serkan Nohut, the training has progressed rapidly. The team is now focusing on designing new lattice structures and optimizing the preparation of printable suspensions, considering crucial factors such as rheological behavior, curing depth, and the stability of the suspensions. This approach aims to not only improve the performance of the structures but also ensure the consistency of the printing process.
The training continues to advance with the goal of developing sustainable solutions using cutting-edge 3D printing technology. Further updates will be shared as the project progresses.
