The Additive Manufacturing Workshop held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at FunGlass, Centre for Functional and Surface Functionalized Glass was a resounding success! The session was delivered by CLiCAM ERA talent, Dr. Akansha Mehta, and drew an enthusiastic audience of more than 20 participants.

The workshop combined both theoretical insights and practical exposure. Participants gained hands-on experience with the Lithoz DLP machine and learned about real-world applications from the work performed at Lithoz GmbH. Dr. Mehta guided attendees through critical aspects such as:

• Understanding printing parameters and machine operation
• Best practices and do’s and don’ts during the printing process
• Troubleshooting common issues in additive manufacturing

A highlight of the session was the interactive discussions, where attendees exchanged experiences and challenges faced during 3D printing. Topics included:

• Influence of light intensity on print quality
• Role of the refractive index of materials
• Difficulties in resin selection
• Ensuring homogeneity of slurries

This open dialogue not only deepened the participants’ technical understanding but also fostered a collaborative environment for problem-solving.
