On October 15-17, 2025, the CLiCAM project participated at the 4th Teaming Club Conference held at the BIOPOLIS Campus in Vairão, Portugal. Key theme of the conference: “Delivering effective strategies for long-term sustainability.”

The conference addressed the vital issue of maintaining the financial and operational viability of research institutions once EU grant periods conclude. Discussions centered on five strategic pillars:
Representing the FunGlass centre, prof. Dušan Galusek shared expertise on internationalization and the integration of advanced materials with biotech to support climate-resilient farming. Additionally, Dr. Peter Hošták and Dr. Dagmar Galusková participated in panel discussions to emphasize the centre's focus on interdisciplinary cooperation and industrial synergy.
In his speech, prof. Galusek showcased CLiCAM as an excellent example of successful academia and industry synergy, emphasizing its innovative approach to cross-sector secondments and its strategies for developing sustainable R&I infrastructure. These achievements directly support the European-wide mission to enhance and expand research networks.
Furthermore, the event facilitated high-level networking and panels focused on balancing R&D priorities, leveraging lessons from past Teaming initiatives, and advocating for increased national support to ensure the longevity of Centres of Excellence.
