As part of the digital training and capacity-building activities under the CLiCAM project (Horizon Europe), an ANSYS Introduction and Demo session was organized at FunGlass - Centre for Functional and Surface Functionalized Glass on April 29, 2026. Three specialists from TechSoft Engineering were invited to demonstrate the possibilities of using computational simulations.

The session was delivered by Ing. Pavel Drábek Ph.D. (Ansys Advisor), Mgr. Michal Stupka (Optics and Photonics Specialist), and Bc. Adam Čala (Structural Specialist) covering simulation possibilities across fluid flow and deposition processes, optical thin film analysis, and structural and thermomechanical behavior.

Attended by more than 32 researchers, PhD students, and department heads from across FunGlass, the session also included interactive Q&A discussions that contributed to this inspiring event, open for meaningful conversations about the role of computational simulation in research projects.
