As already the 3rd CLiCAM ERA talent, Anusha Sekar has joined the Thermal Spray Center in Treibacher Industrie AG!
Under the guidance of Dr. Richard Trache, Anusha will be working as part of the CLiCAM project on the application of image-based modeling techniques for the evaluation of plasma-sprayed coatings. The objective of this project is to recognize the significance of thermal barrier coatings (TBCs) through characterizing their microstructure and thereby improving their properties using advanced computer-aided simulation.
Key Focus Areas:
This experience provides a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between materials science and computational modeling, allowing for a deeper insight into coating performance and reliability. Working in an industrial setting while applying advanced modeling approaches has been both challenging and rewarding!
