Representatives of FunGlass participated in the Excellence Hubs Community (EHC) 2026 Joint Event, held on 26–27 October 2026 in Athens, Greece. The event brought together Excellence Hubs projects from across Europe to exchange experiences, discuss project sustainability, strengthen inter-project collaboration, and contribute to shaping the future of the Excellence Hubs initiative.
Alongside GlaCerHub, the delegation presented the results and achievements of CLiCAM, another Horizon Europe project coordinated by FunGlass, highlighting its contribution to strengthening cooperation between academia and industry. Companies and research organisations were invited to explore opportunities for collaboration in CLiCAM’s main research fields: coatings and additive manufacturing.
Through workshops and discussions with other projects, the European Commission, and the European Research Executive Agency, participants addressed project sustainability, innovation ecosystems, and future European funding priorities. The event provided a valuable opportunity to exchange knowledge, strengthen international connections, and explore synergies between European projects.
