CLiCAM project took part in 12 RIPT 2026, Les Rencontres Internationales de la Projection Thermique, held in Jülich, Germany from June 10 to 12, 2026. The conference brought together experts on thermal barrier coatings, plasma spray technology, and coating modelling, and offered a strong setting to share results with both, the academic groups and industrial partners.

Dr. Ladislav Čelko gave an invited speech on "Recent Experiences in DIY Plasmatron Development, Thermal Spray Powders Modification and Electrical Insulation Coatings". Dr. Pawel Sokolowski from Wroclaw University of Science and Technology presented "Microengineering Self-Healing Thermal Barrier Coatings: Local Effects to Multiscale Durability." Finally, Dr. Anusha Sekar from the Centre for Functional and Surface Functionalized Glass (FunGlass) at the Alexander Dubček University of Trenčín presented her research contribution titled "Microstructure-Driven Thermal Conductivity Modelling of YSZ Thermal Barrier Coatings." The work was developed within the CLiCAM Project and carried out together with Dr.-Ing. Richard Trache from Treibacher Industrie AG.

Scientific discussions that followed these presentations were both significant and constructive, and several conversations pointed to how different approaches could feed each other across coating systems. As a fellow team, CLiCAM ERA talents used the conference to strengthen existing ties and open new lines of cooperation.

We are happy to conclude that participation at 12 RIPT 2026 represents a valuable dissemination, networking, and collaboration outcome of the CLiCAM project and contributes to strengthening international research cooperation in advanced coating technologies.
