CLiCAM Project Insights presented at the 3rd Teaming Club Conference by the FunGlass Centre

Prof. Dušan Galusek, the CLiCAM project coordinator, took part in the 3rd Teaming Club Conference, held from October 9-11, 2024, in Novi Sad, Serbia. This event gathered Centers of Excellence (COEs) from across Europe, established through the Horizon2020 and Horizon Europe Teaming programs, including the FunGlass Centre. Organized by the BioSense Institute, the conference aimed to foster collaboration in key research fields such as materials science, digital innovation, biotechnology, and health. The sessions focused on enhancing research infrastructure and ensuring its sustainability, with the goal of strengthening cooperation among Teaming Centres to tackle Europe’s most pressing innovation challenges.

During the conference, prof. Galusek shared insights from the CLiCAM project, particularly highlighting the academia- industry cooperation and cross-sector secondments as well as strategies for building sustainable research and innovation (R&I) infrastructure. This aligned closely with the event’s broader goal of expanding research infrastructure throughout Europe.

The event also featured networking opportunities and panel discussions that explored strengthening industry partnerships, balancing research and development, exchanging lessons from completed Teaming projects, and the role of national governments in securing additional funding to sustain COEs.
